Hello and welcome to New World Henna!  We specialize in temporary body art with natural reddish-brown henna.  Whether you are looking for a traditional Indian or Arabic style or a modern style, we can meet your body beautification needs.  We are available for individual design & application, bridal, mehndi parties, pregnant belly blessings, birthday parties, prom, showers, bar & bat mitzvahs, festivals, fairs, conventions, corporate events and more.   We are licensed and insured and our owner, Beth Kitchen (formerly Hendrickson) is also certified by the International Certification of Natural Henna Artists.  Please contact Beth with any questions you may have at beth@newworldhenna.com.

*SPECIAL NOTICE!*- We DO NOT USE BLACK HENNA, which is henna laced with black hair dye and a harsh chemical called PPD, which can cause chemical burns.  Natural safe henna goes on in paste form which is left on the skin for a few hours and this paste itself may look dark brown or black, but does not leave a black stain behind like black henna does.  Natural henna stains the skin an orange-brown or reddish-brown color.  Also please note that we are INSURED by specialtyinsuranceagency.com.

We also have glitter tattoos available that last 1 week. Perfect for little kid birthday parties!

    • Hello! Natural mehndi only comes in the natural red/brown color. Black henna is bad for the skin. If you mean the color additions to the henna, you can buy some glitter gels and body paints from various vendors such as hennacaravan.com, mehandi.com, tatattack.com and shopglittertattoos.com

  1. I am thinking about getting tattoos, wanted to try several designs out and see if i like them. Do you do custom designs? How long can i expect one to last under normal circumstances?

  2. I really enjoyed your work during the Cooper/Young festival. I got loads of comments and just to be carrying around the artwork was awesome! I will be emailing you soon for something in mid April.

  3. Hi,
I want to have a henna tattoo ,
But I would like to ask if there is a black henna or mor dark henna?
I am looking for black or very dark henna, so please tell me if you have any so I can come and do my hands and my legs.
And please tell me how much the price for both hands and legs ?

    Thank you !

    • Hi! Black henna is laced with harsh chemicals that can give you a chemical burn so I only use the natural henna that comes out a dark brown or burgundy/brown color. Price depends on how much coverage you want on your hands and legs like how far up the arm or leg you want to go.

      • where in the World do you live, are you in Australia, I do have a black Henna but once its gone through drying process, it will started to go a dark reddish brown color.

      • I am in Memphis, TN in the US. Natural henna paste goes on almost black but stains reddish brown. “Black henna” goes on pitch black and stains pitch black. That is the bad stuff laced with black hair dye which has a chemical that is harsh with prolonged direct skin contact.

  4. Hello, I live in Nashville, TN and need an artist for my engagement party. I see you live in Memphis…Do you travel to Nashville? If so, what are your charges? Also, I don’t have a design picked out. My arms are going to be covered with bangles so I won’t need the whole arm covered. I would like front and back of both of my arms and my feet done. I look forward to hear from you.

  5. OK so my birthday is Oct 4th and I’m turning 14. For my birthday I wanted to get a henna tattoo. If I wanted a simple design how much we it cost?

  6. Hi I want a name on the lower part of my body….can it be done and if so how can I make an appointment and what will be the rate

  7. I am looking for having someone come out for my daughters birthday party in September.. For a couple of hours. I would love to hear back from you about availability and pricing. I live about 30 mins outside Memphis. Thanks in advance!

  8. Hi! I want to get a tattoo for my birthday 9/30/16 and I know you don’t do black henna but what about white? And if i but my own black gel will you use it for the design

  9. Hi! I’m thinking about doing a henna party for my birthday 9/30/16 in Biloxi ms I know you don’t do black henna but do you do white? And if we buy our own black ink will you use it?

Oh and are you going to be at the Inktoberfest that weekend in Biloxi?

  10. I’ve been into henna for three years now and I finally found a person that can do it. Are you available for individuals that want it and if so how can I set an appointment?
